Artificial Intelligence and Dungeons and Dragons

8:45am - 3:10pm
$525.00

Drop Off: 8:20am - 8:40am

Do you have a kid who is creative, interested in stories, or interested in technology? Or interested in all 3?  Well, this is the camp for you! In this specialty camp that has a morning segment and an afternoon segment, we’ll be focusing on two topics that are of interest to creative learners: Artificial Intelligence and Dungeons.

In the morning, we’ll focus on AI. We’re now in a world where even very young students can use online Artificial Intelligence tools to generate their own music, television, or games. In this new world, campers can cultivate their own creativity by doing projects like creating AI symphonies, working with groups and AI to create animated books, and generating AI cartoons (like the ones they watch at home or the video games they play). We’ll lead campers in using AI to do creative projects: introducing them to the tools they should know about in order to thrive in the future, and having fun along the way.

In the afternoon, we’ll focus on Dungeons and Dragons, the famous storytelling game. For generations, kids who love storytelling have used the game to refine their abilities and develop social and emotional skills that apply anywhere. After AI time ends, we’ll break out the dice, tell stories together, and enter a world of imagination they’ll want to write home about.

Weird Nature Science

Have you ever wanted to be a scientist? Or to increase your understanding of the natural world? Well, you’re in luck! In this camp, we’ll be learning about physics and the natural world through fun, easy science experiments that you can take home. We’ll learn about states of matter through building volcanos; we’ll learn about sound by creating ‘naturally occurring’ speakers. Along the way, we’ll be taking our experiments outside in order to understand the environment in the way real scientists and taxonomists do, including building our own “Tree of Life”. In other words, this is the perfect camp if you love science, nature, engineering, or just making things blow up.
