Saint Andrew's School 60th Anniversary

Sixty years ago, a new school with great aspirations was born in what was then the western undeveloped grasslands of Boca Raton. Saint Andrew’s School opened its doors as a boarding school to 122 young men with a steadfast commitment to its mission to build a community of learners, provide excellence in education, and nurture each student in mind, body, and spirit.

Today, we remain true to our roots as an independent school in the Episcopal tradition, serving 1335 day and boarding students on one of Florida’s most beautiful school campuses. After graduating, Scots are empowered to lead honorable lives as lifelong learners who can rise to every challenge in their careers and in life. Our 6,250 graduates are entrepreneurs, scientists, physicians, CEOs, artists, authors, first responders, lawyers, community leaders, educators, soldiers, clergy, politicians, and professional athletes.

The 60th Anniversary logo, as seen above, is a tribute to the early beginnings of our school. The years 1962 and 2022 represent the year classes began through the present day. A forest green shield represents the early years of our school when green was the school’s primary color. The green version was changed to our current red crest in the 1995-1996 school year, and since then, red has been the primary color for Saint Andrew’s School.
Kudos to Saint Andrew's student-run magazine, The Bagpiper, led by journalism teacher and adviser Emily Faber. The team of writers, photographers, graphic designers, and illustrators dropped their 60th Anniversary edition and it is chock full of great content and historical photos! Take a look at our students' take on the burgeoning Metaverse on pg 32 and read much more in our Bagpiper — a gold-rated member of the Florida Scholastic Press Association.
