Last week, we were fortunate to host the second visiting expert in this year’s Wellness Speaker Series, Dr. Marc Brackett.
Dr. Brackett, founding director of Yale University’s Center for Emotional Intelligence, spent the morning with parents and the afternoon with teachers, sharing the wisdom garnered from nearly thirty years of research on why emotions matter and how they influence everything we do. He spoke about the significant impact of having a person in our lives around whom we have “permission to feel’ - and the skills necessary for us to be that person in the lives of our children and students.
The events were incredible opportunities made possible through the generous support of a Saint Andrew’s family who shares a commitment to the health and well-being of our community.
