Saint Andrew’s Student Advances to National Young Entrepreneurs Academy Competition

Nana Wang at Investor Panel competition holding certificate

Innovation and business smarts were on full display as Saint Andrew’s School students competed in the annual Boca Chamber Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) Investor Panel. Held on Thursday, March 5, at the Boca Raton Innovation Center (BRIC), the “Shark Tank”-style event challenged students to pitch original business concepts to a panel of local industry leaders for a chance to secure funding and a spot at the national level.

Among the 13 student-run businesses, Saint Andrew’s was well represented with three businesses in the competition. Nana Wang’s ’27 presentation about her business, Nomad, earned her one of the two spots for the national finals. Nomad is a portable eyelash repair kit designed to fix lash extensions instantly while on the go. When asked more about the product, Nana explained that, “it combines tools like adhesive, tweezers, and a built-in mirror in a compact, organized case, allowing users to quickly maintain their appearance anytime, anywhere.”

Nana will now prepare to represent the Boca Chamber at the Saunders National Young Entrepreneurs Academy Competition. The event will take place from June 10 - 13 in Frisco, Texas, where she will compete against the best student entrepreneurs from across the United States for national recognition and college scholarships.

“I'm extremely grateful to the judges for choosing me to advance to the next level, giving me the opportunity to compete for up to $80,000 in college scholarships,” stated Nana. “I’m looking forward to continuing to grow Nomad on a larger stage and also connecting with the other YEA! students from across the country at the next competition.”

Saint Andrew’s School continues to be a proud host and sponsor of the Young Entrepreneurs Academy, fostering a culture that encourages students to think critically and develop the leadership skills necessary for the modern business world.

Congratulations to all the Saint Andrew’s students who competed in the Investor Panel.
