Saint Andrew's Delegates Shine at REMUN

Model UN at Ransom Everglades group photo

The Saint Andrew’s Model United Nations club traveled to Ransom Everglades in Miami on September 25 and 26 for REMUN, joining delegates from schools across Florida for two days of debate, diplomacy, and problem-solving.

Students spent their time in committee sessions tackling global crises, including a simulation of the crisis in the Gulf of Hormuz, while practicing the real work of diplomacy, such as lobbying, building coalitions, drafting resolutions, and defending their positions against opposing amendments.

Char Errico ’28 and Jordan Jaffe ’27 served as committee chairs, guiding their peers from across the state through the conference’s General Assembly and committee sessions. The hard work paid off across the delegation. Emmanuel Bravo ’28 authored a resolution that passed in the General Assembly, one of only a handful to do so, and was honored with the Best Delegate award for the General Assembly, one of the most competitive awards at the conference.

Their achievements truly reflect Saint Andrew’s commitment to making a meaningful impact, proving that student leaders can drive thoughtful debate and global solutions. Congratulations to all the delegates and the MUN coaches on another successful trip.
