Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth to Launch at Saint Andrew’s School in Summer 2026

Saint Andrew’s School is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY), a world leader in gifted education, beginning in summer 2026. Saint Andrew’s will serve as CTY’s first host site in the Southeast and one of only 11 CTY summer day and residential locations in the United States, bringing this prestigious academic program to Boca Raton for the first time.

For nearly 50 years, CTY has been a leader in educating the world’s most academically advanced elementary, middle, and high school students. Far more than a traditional summer camp, CTY combines rigorous, research-based academics with innovative approaches to learning and a vibrant peer community. CTY courses bring together advanced learners from around the world to explore engaging subjects such as science and engineering, mathematics, robotics and technology, and language arts, while building confidence, collaboration skills, and a lifelong love of discovery.

CTY’s day program at Saint Andrew’s will run for three weeks beginning June 28, 2026, and is open to students who have completed grades 2–8. These hands-on, academically challenging courses are designed to encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and meaningful collaboration among students who share a passion for learning. Saint Andrew’s is one of only two CTY day sites nationwide offering courses that extend through grades 7–8.

Examples of courses offered include "Cloudy with a Chance of Science" (grades 2–3), "Examining the Evidence" (grades 5–6), as well as upper-level offerings such as "Anatomy and Physiology" and "The Mathematics of Money" (grades 7–8). Lunch will be included, and before- and after-care will be available for families seeking additional convenience.

Summer enrollment for CTY at Saint Andrew’s will open in early 2026. Most CTY courses require qualifying test scores, which may be earned through CTY testing or submitted from select standardized assessments.
