Saint Andrew’s School alumnus Zachary Sussman ’16 was recently named to the Forbes 30 Under 30 list in the Transportation & Aerospace category.

Sussman is a co-founder of Mach9, a company that utilizes high-speed lidar and artificial intelligence to create detailed 3D models of infrastructure, such as roads and bridges. According to the company’s website, the company was founded in 2021 by four researchers at the Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute. With $15 million in funding, Mach9 is gaining attention for its tools that help transportation planners and civil engineers modernize America’s infrastructure.

“Zach was not only one of the strongest and most curious math students I taught in my 36-year career, but also one of the most collaborative,” said former teacher and advisor to Mu Alpha Theta Lisa Winer. “As president of Mu Alpha Theta, he led with brilliance and humility, seeing mathematics at a level beyond his peers while consistently helping his teammates succeed. Those same qualities continue to define his success today.”

Saint Andrew’s congratulates Zach Sussman on this national honor and the impact he’s making in technology and infrastructure innovation.
