If you have been watching the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, you may have seen the Germany vs. Colombia match Sunday night, where Colombia beat Germany 2-1. That historic upset was partly thanks to SA alumna Catalina Pérez, '13, the starting goalkeeper for the Women's Colombia National Team in the World Cup. In the team's first Women's World Cup game, Pérez and her teammates defeated South Korea with a final score of 2-0. Colombia's next match will be this Thursday, August 3, at 6:00 am EST against Morocco on Fox Sports 1.
