TaterScots Sweep All Five Matches at Halloween-themed Tournament

FIRST Tech Challenge Team #641, the TaterScots, delivered an outstanding performance at the Halloween-themed tournament at Boca Raton High School on Saturday, November 1. The team dominated the competition, sweeping all five matches in an impressive, undefeated run.

In preparation for the tournament, the TaterScots devoted their weekdays, free periods, and weekends to ensuring their robot was competition-ready. The team currently ranks 44th for their auto performance and 87th overall out of 1,433 teams worldwide.

The TaterScots also collaborated with Pahokee High School to organize the league’s first-ever Halloween costume contest and helped create 3D-printed prizes, transforming the tournament into a day filled with both thrilling competition and festive fun.

The team’s next tournament is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, and they are already hard at work refining their design.
