SA's FIRST LEGO League Qualifies for Regionals

FIRST LEGO League students and coach at North Broward for a tournament

This past weekend, the Saint Andrew's FIRST LEGO League (FLL) team competed in the Qualifying Tournament at North Broward Prep, where they faced off against numerous teams from across South Florida. The event challenged students to excel in four key areas:

  • Robot Game: Programming and operating their robot to complete a series of missions on a themed game board.
  • Robot Design: Showcasing their robot's design, functionality, and the programming process used to optimize performance.
  • Innovation Project: Presenting a creative solution to a real-world problem inspired by this season's theme, Masterpiece.
  • Core Values: Demonstrating teamwork, collaboration, and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

The Saint Andrew's team showcased exceptional effort, ingenuity, and teamwork, earning an invitation to the Regional Tournament on Saturday, January 18, at Palm Beach State College. This event will feature the top 30 teams in South Florida competing for a spot in the state tournament.
