Saint Andrew’s FLL Team Impresses at South Florida Regional Championship

Saint Andrew’s School is proud to celebrate the impressive achievements of its First Lego League (FLL) team at the South Florida Regional Championship held on Saturday, January 18. This elite invite-only event brought together the top 40 teams from grades 4 through 8 across South Florida.

The Scotbots team of nine grade 4 students and one grade 6 student, showed significant growth, improving their robotics score by an impressive 25 points since the Qualifying Tournament! Those who participated on Saturday included Sammy Firestone '33, Lacey Graham '33, Hunter Kravit '33, Mason Slobodkin '33, Wyatt Thoms '33, and Ben Wickham '33. Their hard work and innovative thinking earned them the Most Creative Innovation Project award.

Although the team did not advance to the state competition this year, their exceptional performance and unwavering dedication have brought immense pride to the Saint Andrew’s community. The students exemplified the values of teamwork, perseverance, and creativity throughout the season.
