In January, the Saint Andrew’s Dance Company auditioned for Future Stars, recognized as South Florida’s most prestigious performing arts competition. Last week, the dancers received the wonderful news that their piece “You Will Be Found,” choreographed by Ms. Katie Petronio, was accepted and will be moving forward in the competition.
Additionally, Dance Company member Iris Hua ‘27 auditioned with a solo titled “天涯歌女” (The Wandering Songstress), which was also accepted as well.
The competition is part of the Festival of the Arts and takes place on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:00 pm at Mizner Park Amphitheater. This is the second time the Dance Company has participated in this dance competition and the first time for a solo performer. A wonderful honor for Saint Andrew’s.
