Six Saint Andrew's students took part in the Distributive Education Clubs of America (DECA) district event on Friday, January 12. The process for qualifying for the district event was incredibly competitive this year, with over 1,500 students entrees.

DECA is an organization dedicated to preparing emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality, and management, and provides a platform for students to develop their business acumen and leadership skills.

Six SA students earned top scores and were invited to compete at the district level. From there, five students received awards, qualifying them for participation at Florida's state competition in Orlando at the end of February. Elijah Nelson '24, won first place overall in our district for his performance in the Principles of Finance event.

Congratulations to Emma Bachrodt '26, Alex Duros '24, Morgan Ellis '24, Morgan Mattson '24, Elijah Nelson '24, and Brielle Rebello '24 for their remarkable performances at this competitive event.
