SA Alumnus Returns as Guest Speaker for Honors Entrepreneurship Class

SA Alumnus Dalen Michaels '19 returned to speak in Ms. Magaletti's Honors Entrepreneurship class on Wednesday, December 4. Dalen spoke about his journey as a business student at SA, his experience studying entrepreneurship at USC, and how he successfully launched his own surf apparel brand, Outheback, from his college dorm room. Dalen offered valuable insights about leveraging the power of social media to grow his brand and shared how his efforts have led to Outheback being carried in surf shops not only in Florida but also across the U.S. and even in Brazil.

The session was highly interactive and student-centered. Dalen engaged the students with his story and answered many questions about entrepreneurship, branding, and business growth. His visit provided an inspiring, real-world perspective for our students as they prepare to pitch and launch their own businesses this spring.
