Painting the Moon in Honor of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

Painting of the moon by a student for the Chinese Mid Autumn Festival

In the midst of Hispanic Heritage Month, it is also an exciting time to celebrate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival which falls on Tuesday, September 17.  September has truly been a vibrant showcase of holidays, traditions, and cultural customs that highlight the beauty of SA's diverse community.

On Tuesday, the Upper School Honors Chinese II, III, IB Chinese Ab Initio Year I & II, IB SL Yr, Post Chinese AP, and Multilingual Communication Strategies classes gathered together and painted the Moon, representing peace, prosperity, and family reunion. It was a fantastic experience for all!
