MS Students Honored with Learner Profile Award for Caring

Mateo Miller, Riley Anik, and Ana Chabab were honored with the MYP LEarned Profile Award for Caring during MS Chapel last wee

Last week in Chapel, we recognized the next round of students selected by the grade-level teams for being students who embody the IB Learner Profile attribute of Caring.

According to the IB, Caring students strive to be:

“We critically appreciate our own cultures and personal histories, as well as the values and traditions of others. We seek and evaluate a range of points of view, and we are willing to grow from the experience.”

To honor the virtues they bring to our school community as role models, the grade-level teams summarized why these students epitomize Caring.

Grade 6 - Mateo Miller

Mateo is always concerned for others, reaches out to bring others into the mix, and regularly inquires about how you are and makes you feel cared for.

Grade 7 - Riley Anik

Riley exemplifies the learner profile trait of caring. She started the year by acting as a student leader on both orientation days and supporting new students as they took their first steps on our campus. In the last few weeks, she has continued to show caring by going out of her way to help others, showing her kind, thoughtful, and uplifting nature.

Grade 8 - Ana Chabab

Ana has set herself apart as a grade 8 student who is ready and willing to help those around her. We look forward to her continuing to spread kindness.

Join us in congratulating these students for exemplifying Caring!
