MS Students Celebrate Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival

Students learn how to make moon cakes at the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.

In Chinese classes, students learned about the legend and tradition of the Mid-Autumn Festival. All students in Chinese classes created videos or digital books about the Festival. In addition, they tasted different types of mooncakes in class. Students also shared their videos or digital books with their lower school “buddies.” Moreover, students put the Mid-Autumn Festival into action by showing how they connect to someone they miss. We concluded the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival with Middle School students reading their digital books to guests who came to celebrate this event at the Cohen Center last Friday. Students, parents, and teachers had fun making mooncakes, drinking boba tea, and participating in many Chinese cultural activities.
