Six Middle School students went on a field trip with Mrs. O'Connell to the FAU Science Fest on Friday, April 12. They had the opportunity to learn about research being conducted by students at FAU as well as other developments in the science world. There were booths from all the colleges within the science department set up around
There were booths from different areas of research and study within the College of Science at FAU. science department. The Middle School students also got to hear college students present their findings from different science studies they are currently working on and ask questions about the college students' processes, procedures, and conclusions.
"Their favorite parts were the walk-in blow-up whale and the 'claw' which opened and closed in response to the electrical signals sent through clenching and opening their hands," said Mrs. O'Connell.
