Faculty Member:

Jackie Gorora: This year, the IB Learner Profile Award for Caring is proudly presented to a faculty member who embodies empathy, compassion, and respect in every interaction. From the very first day, this Scot has gone out of her way to make every member of our middle school community feel genuinely welcome and seen. She authentically engages with each person, treating her teammates not just as colleagues, but as loved family members, and thoughtfully following up on conversations long after they've ended.

Her care extends to all of our students as well, as she works tirelessly to ensure they feel special, loved, and valued. Her unwavering kindness and genuine concern for others make her a true ray of sunshine in the Middle School. The compassion she demonstrates is so inspiring that it motivates those around her to share the same kindness with others. It is this profound commitment to making a positive difference that makes her the most deserving recipient of this award.
