Language Honor Societies Induction Ceremony

Spanish Language Honor Society induction with two students lighting candles for one another

Students were inducted into their respective Language Honor Societies in recognition of their academic excellence, dedication to language learning, and commitment to cultural engagement.

To be nominated, students must demonstrate not only strong performance in their language studies but also qualities of character, leadership, and service. Criteria vary by society and language, but all honorees share a passion for using language meaningfully beyond the classroom.

Dr. Elle Anthony, Head of the World Languages Department, shared, “This was the first time Saint Andrew's recognized all inductees in one unified celebration. It was so lovely to have artistic offerings in Chinese, French, Latin, and Spanish, and such a beautiful reminder of the diversity and richness of the languages we teach and learn.”
