MS Students Honored with Learner Profile Award for Principled

Middle School IB Learner Principled Students

On Thursday, September 28, during Chapel, we recognized three students whom the grade level teams selected as students who clearly embody the IB Learner Profile attribute of Principled.

According to the IB, as principled individuals:

“We act with integrity and honesty, with a strong sense of fairness and justice, and with respect for the dignity and rights of people everywhere. We take responsibility for our actions and their consequences.”

To honor the virtues that they bring to our school community as role models, the Team Leaders wrote a short summary of what traits they possess that made them stand out as principled.

Grade 6 - Noa Reinglass

Noa is a kind friend who looks out for others. She is eager to learn and has made a lot of growth already both academically and as a member of our community.

Grade 7 - Luke Parry

Luke is a fantastic addition to our campus this year. He engages with classmates and adults in a warm, positive, and respectful way. He also shows leadership among his peers through academics, adaptability, and a desire to make sure the people around him feel a sense of belonging.

Grade 8 - Andrew Cabrera-Hock

Andrew embodies the idea of integrity, as one who does the right thing, even if no one is watching. This characteristic sets him apart from his peers in the sense that he doesn't even realize that he is being principled; he just IS principled. Teachers and students alike look to him as a leader in the school community, and he will humbly rise to this challenge every single time.

Join us in congratulating these students for being principled!
