Grade 8 students are currently investigating biomolecules in science class. DNA is found in every living thing as it contains the code for the characteristics for all living things. At one station the students were extracting DNA from strawberries using simple ingredients including soap, rubbing alcohol, salt, and a strawberry. Other students were working on creating an Olympic athlete meal plan and A Biomolecule of the Year Campaign Poster explaining why their biomolecule is the best biomolecule.
