Grade 8 Field Trip to The Craig and Barbara Weiner Holocaust Museum

Students in grade 8 went on a field trip to the Craig and Barbara Weiner Holocaust Museum at Nova Southeastern University on Tuesday, February 20, and Thursday, February 22.

Students had the opportunity to learn about the Holocaust from museum docents, the Weiner family, and survivor testimony from Irene Zisbatt. Her extremely powerful story left many of our students in tears, as she encouraged them to be upstanders in society and share their knowledge of the Holocaust for future generations.

This field trip supports what the students are learning about the Holocaust and WW2 in their grade 8 history class and lays a strong foundation for the grade 8 Washinton, DC trip, including a visit to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in March.
