Grade 7 students in Mr. Rob Bello's science class were given five unknown solutions (which are all common household solutions) and were asked to test their pH and determine if those solutions were either acidic or basic as well as determining the pH of that solution. Using safe lab techniques, students investigated using a smell test to predict what each actual solution was. Students were asked by Mr. Bello to reflect on this lab and explain how they came to their specific conclusions.
