Students in grade 6 have been learning about tectonic plates in science class. The students were required to research how tectonic plates affect specific places from around the world and then give a presentation using the information they had found. For the presentation portion, the students created PowerPoints and physical models of the represented area that they researched for this project. Some of the areas that the students studied included the Mariana Trench, Haiti, Iceland, Hawaii, and the Himalayas.
