Grade 4 Investigates Bess Beetles

Paul Cornett with grade 4 students doing a lab about Bess Beetles

In Mr. Paul Cornett's science class, students in grade 4 are investigating the structures and behaviors of living things.

On Tuesday, students began to observe the structures and behaviors of living Bess Beetles, providing them a hands-on experience to develop scientific process skills while working as biologists might in the field or in the lab in order to gain a better understanding of life on our planet.

This unit connects to the PYP key concepts of form and function as well as aspects of transdisciplinary themes such as structures, systems, and adaptation.
