At the first Lower School Assembly of 2024, students in grade 3 read an adaptation of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s "I Have a Dream" speech. Each student had the opportunity to read or recite a portion of the speech to the rest of the Lower School students and faculty. The reading of this famous speech was in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, which is on Monday, January 15.
