Grade 1 Learns About Business, Trade, and Giving Back

grade 1 temporary tattoo parlor

Grade 1 has been learning about goods and services, how resources are used to meet needs and wants, and making decisions with money and scarity. The students realized that not everyone in Boca Raton's needs are met and decided they wanted to take action and give back to the community.

Each class had a business, such as a temporary tattoo parlor or face painting stations, and also offered cookies, lemonade, or dirt pudding in exchange for two canned food items. Students in Lower School had the opportunity to visit one of these businesses and drop off their canned goods. We look forward to hearing about how many canned goods are collected by grade 1 at the end of the week!
