Eden Glassman '30 placed third in the 2025 National Chinese Speech Contest. Eden was named a finalist in the Grades 6-8 World Language Program Group category at the beginning of March 2025 and took part in the final competition on Saturday, March 22. 

Eden delivered a speech titled "遇见中文" (Encountering Chinese: Exploring the Wonderful Journey of Language and Culture), which according to her Chinese teacher, Florence Lee, "captivated the judges with its depth of insight and flawless delivery."

When asked about Eden's accomplishment, Ms. Lee said, "Eden's journey to this achievement is truly inspiring. She spent countless hours perfecting her pronunciation, expanding her vocabulary, and honing her public speaking abilities. This is a tremendous accomplishment that reflects Eden's unwavering dedication to her Chinese language studies."
