AP and Honors Portfolio Reception for Art Exhibition

Astor Stein with her AP Art and Design work on display in Cohen Center at Saint Andrew's School

The recent AP and Honors Portfolio Reception, held Thursday, April 10, offered a remarkable display of student artistry and creativity. The exhibition welcomed students, families, administrators, and faculty members, creating a vibrant atmosphere of celebration and appreciation for the visual arts. Much of the work on display centered around meaningful concepts, individual inquiries, and thoughtful experimentation with materials.

The AP Art and Design Program includes three distinct courses—AP 2-D Art and Design, AP 3-D Art and Design, and AP Drawing—and examples from all three portfolios were showcased. Each piece represented not only technical skill but also a deep engagement with personal themes and creative exploration.

Also featured in the exhibition were works from the Honors Visual Art Portfolio course, a studio-based program that encourages students to explore a wide range of media while developing a cohesive body of work. This course prepares students for advanced artistic study and, in some cases, college-level portfolio submissions.

The student artists demonstrated exceptional care and precision in both the curation of their work and the articulation of their ideas. The following students were recognized for their contributions:
