The Results Are In! The "Scots Inspiring Scots" Challenge Raises $130,975!
Over 80 donors answered the “Scots Inspiring Scots” Challenge - a matching-gift challenge generously funded via a $50,000 gift from the Hagerty Family that incorporated video calls-to-action designed to excite and motivate the community to support the Annual Fund.
When Scots heard of the Hagerty’s challenge, it sparked a wide-reaching desire to continue in their footsteps. Scots from Florida, Maine, Maryland, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Texas, and Virginia were inspired to give to the Annual Fund, and all constituencies contributed – including current parents, parents of alumni, grandparents, current and former faculty/staff, and alumni from the classes of ’74 to ’17.
At the conclusion of the campaign, both Michelle and Michael Hagerty felt honored to support Saint Andrew’s School. “We hold education in a very high regard and think that supporting the institution that provides education to our children is one of the most important causes in our lives,” said Michelle.
Michelle and Michael see the difference the Annual Fund makes for children each and every day in so many ways. For them, the Annual Fund bolsters one of the school’s most important resources - its teachers. “We feel extremely grateful to the faculty and staff of Saint Andrew’s School and the jobs they do to educate our children,” Michelle said.
The Annual Fund is designed to help cover a year’s anticipated operating expenses including those involving, academics in classrooms, athletics, the arts, and so much more. Whereas tuition covers 90% of these expenses, gifts to the Annual Fund make up the difference and have an immediate and positive impact on our school community.
“Michael and I would like to thank the families and friends who supported the ‘Scots Inspiring Scots’ Challenge.” But as the Hagertys say thank you, it is also Saint Andrew’s School that is grateful for the Hagertys and to all who gave. Scots are inspired by YOU!
