Boys and Girls Cross Country Teams Win District Championships

The varsity boys and girls cross country teams competed in the FHSAA Class 2A District 14 Meet today at Quiet Waters Park. Both teams finished their races on top claiming the district championship trophy for both the boys and the girls.

Ian Noble '21 was the individual champion for the boys earning the gold medal with a time of 17:27.68 followed by Jackson May (2nd), William Romac (3rd), Damien Carlsson (6th), Tristan Moss (7th), Kostandino Deligiannis, Christopher Warren, Lucas Walsh, and Nicholas Ilvento. The boys team finished 43 points ahead of the second place finisher.

Ellie Tymorek '21 was the individual champion for the girls earning the gold medal with a time of 19:09.04 followed by Lydia Szakacs (2nd), Zitong Chen (7th), Abigail Wandoff (13th), Alessandra Arrigone, Blanka Csermely, and Katherine Gull. The girls team finished 53 points ahead of the second place finisher.

The teams have advanced to compete in the regional championship meet next Saturday in Titusville for a chance to advance to the state meet. Congratulations Scots!
