Track and Field Benjamin Invitational - February 12

The Saint Andrew's Track and Field team competed at the Benjamin Invitational where the boys were the meet champions and the girls placed 2nd out of seven teams. Congratulations to both teams and to the following recognition award recipients:

High Point Award:
Rachel Harman and Eleazar Martin both scored 30 points for the Scots. Rachel placed first in the pole vault, 200m run, and the 400m relay. She also placed third in the triple jump. Eleazar placed first in the 110 hurdles, long jump, and the triple jump.

Scotty Award:
Lydia Szakacs received this honor through her hard work and toughness placing first in the 3200m relay, second in the 1600m relay, and third in the 1600m run.
Jonah Kotzen was extremely focused and showed perseverance throughout the week placing first in both the 400m and 1600m relays. Jonah also placed an impressive fourth in the 200m run.

Most Improved:
Jade Hodge put in impressive performances in the high jump (3rd place), 400m relay (1st place), and the triple and long jumps finishing 2nd in both.
Sebastian Rossi placed first in the discus with a toss of 115 feet.

Rookie of the Meet:
Stephanie Lucchesi won the triple jump in her first meet, was on the winning 400m relay team, and placed sixth in the long jump.
