SA Welcomes Scots Grandparents on Grandparents Days - February 6-8

The Saint Andrew’s community has a unique and meaningful way of recognizing the love grandparents have for their grandchildren. Each year in February, SA invites grandparents to campus to share and celebrate with their grandchildren, teachers, and administrators the school's compassionate mission of mind, body, and spirit on Grandparents Days. This year, Grandparents Days are held on Wednesday - Friday, February 6-8, 2019.

Grandparents Days at Saint Andrew’s School are marked by student performances, classroom visits, and campus exploration. Delicious refreshments are served throughout each of the three Grandparents Day events:

Grandparents Day at the Upper School - Grades 9 -12: Wednesday, February 6 from 1:15 - 3:30 pm

Grandparents of Upper School students are invited to a fun-filled afternoon with their grandchildren beginning with registration in the lobby of Andrews Hall ~ The Center for Performing Arts at 1:15 pm. This will be followed by a performing arts program at 1:30 pm in Roberts Theater. At 2:30 pm, grandparents will accompany their grandchildren for classroom visits, activities in the Dr. Albert Cohen Family Center for Entrepreneurial Studies, and refreshments in Mariani Great Hall.

Grandparents Day at the Middle School - Grades 6 -8: Thursday, February 7 from 9:00  - 11:30 am

We invite grandparents of Middle School students to attend morning events with their grandchildren. These events begin with registration in the lobby in Andrews Hall ~ The Center for Performing Arts at 9:00 am, followed by a performing arts program at 9:15 am in Roberts Theater. At 10:15 am, grandparents will accompany their grandchildren to the Barad Family Middle School Campus for classroom visits and brunch in the garden courtyard.

Grandparents Day at the Lower School - Grades JK -5: Friday, February 8 from 9:00  - 11:30 am

On this third day of Grandparents Day, we welcome grandparents of students in our Lower School. Registration for this event begins at 9:00 am in the lobby in Andrews Hall ~ The Center for Performing Arts, followed by student performances at 9:15 am in Roberts Theater. At the close of the program, grandparents will accompany their grandchildren to the Nina and Edgar Otto Lower School Campus for classroom visits and brunch in the Weprin Family Student Center and Gary Peters Family Foundation Courtyard.

Parking and Transportation Needs

Grandparents are welcome to park in the main lot during their visit to SA. Golf carts will be readily available for any transportation needs throughout grandparents’ visits.

Saint Andrew’s knows how much grandparents look forward to precious moments with their grandchildren. SA is excited to host these days where grandchildren and grandparents celebrate their amazing school experience at Saint Andrew’s. In the month of valentines and love, Saint Andrew’s School honors special Scots grandparents’ love on Grandparents’ Days. Go Scots!
