Admissions FAQ

Welcome to our Admissions Frequently Asked Questions page. We hope that you will find the following links informative. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions that you may have. We look forward to helping you with the admission process.

When should students begin the application process? What are the deadlines?

Typically, students should begin the application process in the fall prior to the year in which they plan to enroll. Applications for admission for all grade levels are due by February 1. Lower School families who have met the February 1 deadline will receive notification of our decision by February 15. Middle and Upper School families who have met the February 1 deadline will receive notification by March 1.

We will continue to accept applications after February 1, and decisions will be made on a rolling basis contingent on space.

In which grades can students enter Saint Andrew’s School?

Our division and class structure allow us to enroll new students in every grade, with JK, K, 3, 6 and 9 being the most accessible grades.

For which years do you offer a boarding program?

Saint Andrew’s School offers boarding for students in grades 9 through 12. Each year, we have approximately 100 students who live on campus who come to us from within the U.S. and from around the world.

What does Saint Andrew’s School look for in a candidate?

Saint Andrew’s School is looking for well rounded, motivated students who are excited about being a part of our community. We look for and promote intellectual curiosity, dedication to academics and extra-curricular interests, and open-mindedness to different ideas, philosophies, and cultures. We seek students who wish to grow in intellect, talent, character, and achievement.

Does Saint Andrew’s School offer Financial Aid?

We do offer “need based” financial aid grants that do not require repayment. Our $2.6 million financial aid budget allows us to offer assistance to those who demonstrate need and who otherwise are unable to afford the full cost of tuition. Applications for financial aid are due by March 1, and decisions are made on a rolling basis. Please click here for more information. We do not offer scholarships of any kind (nor do we accept McKay Scholars).

Does Saint Andrew’s provide transportation?

We do not provide transportation for families to and from school. We do, however, provide transportation for students for school sponsored activities like field trips, athletic competitions and weekend activities for our boarding students.
