Boys Lacrosse Wins 3rd Consecutive FHSAA State Championship Title

The Saint Andrew's varsity boys lacrosse team defeated Bolles (Jacksonville) 9-8 to claim their third straight FHSAA Class 1A State Championship Title. This would make seven titles for the Scots (2008, 2009, 2010, 2012, 2021, 2022, 2023) since 2008 when the FHSAA officially sanctioned the sport in Florida. Saint Andrew's has made a total of nine appearances in the state championship game since 2008.

The district champion Scots entered the regional tournament as the #1 seed in the region. Saint Andrew's entered the state final four outscoring their regional opponents (Westminster, Belen Jesuit, and Pine Crest) 56-12 in the regional tournament.

The Scots would face Lake Highland Prep in the State semifinal game defeating the Highlanders 13-4 to face Bolles in the final. Saint Andrew's led the Bulldogs 7-4 at the half with senior Jack Schulte adding to the Scots' lead to go up on Bolles 8-4. The Bulldogs would then net four goals in a row to tie the championship contest 8-8 with just over seven minutes left to play. Junior Connor Hofbauer would score the go ahead goal with 4:39 remaining on the clock. Senior captain goalie Ryan Kaplan would keep the Bulldogs out of the net for the remainder of the game allowing the Scots to notch their third consecutive state title.
