Squash Continues to Shine at US Squash Tournaments

Four Saint Andrew's students travelled to Connecticut to compete in the US Squash William S. Broadbent Junior Gold Tournament. Alexander Dartnell '25 competed in the Boys U17 playing up from his usual Boys U15 level claiming the first place trophy. Alexander's brother, Philip Dartnell '25 also claimed first place competing in the Boys U15 division in the tournament.

Sophomore Adam Elkaliuoby competed in the Boys U17 division of the tournament capturing the consolation trophy for the event. Adam had a tough draw losing to the eventual champion early in the competition.

Junior Yassin Emara entered the tournament coming off of some top finishes at other US Squash events. Yassin finished 6th in the highly competitive U19 division falling to the eventual champion in the quarterfinals. Yassin captured the attention of many coaches with his excellent play.

The boys will be traveling to Philadelphia next week to compete in the US Squash Junior National Championships at the Arlen Specter Center.
