Girls Golf Finishes 4th at FHSAA Class 1A State Championships

The varsity girls golf team claimed the regional championship to earn the #1 seed heading into the FHSAA Class 1A State Championships at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Howey-in-the-Hills. The Scots competed in the two day tournament on the Las Colinas course finishing 4th out of the 16 teams that qualified. The girls made a strong charge on the second day improving on their first round total by eight strokes.

Senior Amelie Alcantara and Eckerd College commit finished tied for third with a two day total of 141 (-3) earning her a trip to the podium and an individual championship medal. Gabriella Albert (15th) finished her two days with a total of 147 (+5) shooting an impressive 69 (-3) on the second day. Senior and Dartmouth College commit Hope Hall placed 22nd individually in the tournament shooting a two day total of 148 (+4). Sophomores Alana Hall (45th) and Jennie Pan (72nd) contributed to the team's success by also improving on their first round performances.
