Cross Country Prepares for Championship Season

The Scots Cross Country teams have had a great early season experience as they prepare for October...or as Coach O'Connell calls it "Championship Season". They will compete in the Palm League Championships (10/9), Boca Raton City Championships (10/12), and the Palm Beach County Championships (10/20) all leading up to the District meet on October 26.

Will Romac '22, has led the way for the boys with two runner-up finishes and first place at the Benjamin Invitational. Damien Carlsson '22 has returned from a year long injury to prove that he is still one of the area's top runners with 3 Top 5 finishes so far this season. Lucas Comparato '22 has been a big surprise for the Scots making a great transition from middle distance in track to the Cross Country 5K.

The girls have been led by Alina Morrison '23 who was the Scots top finisher at the King's Academy Invitational and Spanish River Invitational this season. In addition senior Holly Coughlin led the way for the Scots at the most recent Benjamin Invitational. Stephanie Lucchesi '22 and Maddy Byers '23, have been running well and gearing up for this upcoming "Championship Season". Go Scots!
