Girls Golf Wins South Florida PGA East Coast High School Championship

The varsity girls golf team continued their dominance on the course with another first place finish at the South Florida PGA East Coast High School Championship hosted by Boca West Country Club. A total of 16 teams were invited to the event with 114 competitors.

The Scots finished the two-round tournament with a team total 15-over par (+15) shooting a 293 in the first round followed by a 290 the second day. The girls were only 6-over par during their second round which was the best team round over the two days. 

Senior Amelie Alcantara captured the tournament medalist title with a par on her second playoff hole. Amelie shot an even par for the event (72 - 72). Congratulations to Jennie Pan, Gabriella Albert, Hope Hall, Amelie Alcantara, Alana Hall, and Coach Elders once again on their South Florida PGA win. Go Scots!
