Track and Field Award Winners at Saint Andrew's Invite #4 - NBP, SLAM, Sagemont

On March 30 the Scots competed in a quad meet with North Broward Prep, SLAM Boca, and Sagemont. The Scots came out victorious on both the boys and girls side. In this meet, two school records were broken. Ellie Tymorek broke her previous school record in the 3200m run which she set at the state championships in 2019 with a new time of 10:54.94. Teammate Haley Meister broke the javelin school record with a throw of 24.75 meters (81.2 feet).

Award Winners:
High Point Award - Stephanie Lucchesi was the high point award winner with 19 points winning the triple jump and 800m run and placing second in the 1600m run and running on the winning 4x800 relay team. Caleb Mores was the other high point award winner with 13.33 points by winning the 110m hurdles and tied for first place in the high jump. Caleb also placed second in the 300m hurdles.

Scotty Award - Sammy Weiss once again gutted out some very impressive performances placing second in both the javelin and the long jump. She ran on the 4x100 relay team for the first time leading the team to a victory and their best performance of the season. Henry Pollack also received the Scott Award in a close meet with North Broward Prep. Henry stepped up and made the difference by running in three critical relays which led to the narrow victory over NBP.

Most Improved - Katherine Goodman was the most improved for the meet as she won the long jump with a very impressive jump of 4.80 meters (5' - 9") which was almost a foot improvement from her previous best. Alex Duros knocked off 15 seconds off his previous best 1600m run time clocking under 6:00 minutes for the first time with a personal best time of 5:48.90
