Track and Field Award Winners at Saint Andrew's Invite #3 - FAU High

In a dual track and field meet with FAU High on March 10, the Scots pulled off a double victory by scores of 101 to 70 on the girls side and 91 to 76 on the boys side.

Award Winners:
High Point Award - Tori Schrubb with 13.5 just ahead of Grace Wats and Sammy Weiss who both had 13 points. Tori won the high jump, was on the winning 400 relay team, placed 2nd in the 100m hurdles and 400m run. Matthew James and Max Ettling tied with 15.5 points each. Matt won the 100m run and the triple jump, was on the winning 400 relay team and placed 2nd in the long jump. Max won the high jump and long jump, won on the winning 400 relay team and placed 2nd in the 100m run.

Scotty Award - Sammy Weiss who really stepped up this week with a good week of practice had an impressive meet placing in four of her events including a first place finish in the 300 hurdles. Caleb Mores who ran for the first time in the 110 hurdles and placed first and also won the 300 hurdles with a personal best time also received the Scotty Award.

Most Improved - Stephanie Lucchesi who ran a sub 6:00 minute 1600 for the first time and also had an impressive 800 and once again continued to be the triple jump champion taking first place was most improved for this meet. Lucas Comparato was also most improved as a result of his hard work in practice that has helped him cut another second off his 400 time with a time of 55.67.

Additional Accolades:
Over spring break, several student-athletes competed in some very competitive invitational track meets. On March 3, Ian Noble ran the 3200m run at the Set Goals Not Limits Distance Showcase and took second place with an incredible time of 9:11.76. On March 27, Ian ran in the Dunbar Tiger Classic and ran a 4:21 for the mile while his teammate Will Romac ran a 4:44. Tori Schrubb competed in The Florida International Club Meet on March 27 and finished first with an amazing high jump of 5'-5".
