Baseball Defeats Boca Christian 15-0 in Season Opener

The varsity boys baseball team travelled to Boca Christian on Thursday, February 18 to compete in their first game of the season. The Scots defeated the Blazers 15-0 with a combined shutout effort from Cole Derks '22 and Carter Derks '25. Cole was clocked at 93 mph on the mound for the Scots and supported his own pitching effort with a homerun.

Runs for the Scots were compiled by Aaron Orozco-Torres (2), Aiden Chaplin (1), Carter Derks (2), Cole Cleveland (2), Cole Derks (2), Harrison Calder (3), Jackson MacKay (1), and Nash Freedman (2).

The team will face the Benjamin School on Tuesday, February 23 at home. Go Scots!
