Reigning Class 1A State Champs (Scots) Dominate Reigning Class 2A State Champs (Raiders)

In 2019, both the Saint Andrew’s Scots and the Gulliver Prep Raiders boasted double State Championships in the sport of tennis. The Scots boys and girls won the FHSAA Class 1A titles, and the Raiders boys and girls were the FHSAA Class 2A Champions. On Wednesday, February 17, the two programs squared off at Crandon Park in Key Biscayne, former home of the Miami Open.

The Scots jumped out early on the Raiders and continued to apply the pressure, en route to 7-0 victories for both the boys and the girls teams. As always, Saint Andrew’s was anchored  by Seniors Jacob Lowen and Sara Snyder at #1 singles and doubles as the Scots made the case that Class 1A tennis is the strongest division in the state.
