Track Team has Strong Showing at Cardinal Gibbons Preseason Distance Meet

It was a great start for the Saint Andrew's track team with some outstanding performances on Saturday, February 13. Senior Dartmouth commit Ellie Tymorek  placed 3rd in the 1600 with a very impressive early season time of 5:16.32. Junior Stephanie Lucchesi ran personal best times in the 800 (2:43.32) and the 1600 (6:00.76) and junior Holly Coughlan had a personal best in the 1600 (5:55.10).

On the boys side, both senior Ian Noble and senior Florida commit Matt Mule ran the 1600 under the 17 year old 4:24 school record time set in 2003 by Dan Daly. Ian ran a 4:22.14 and Matt the new record holder, ran a time of 4:15.02 which is currently the fastest time run in the country this year according to the mile split rankings.

Congratulations to these outstanding student-athletes and we look forward to seeing the full Scots' Track and Field team in action at The Benjamin Invitational on Saturday, February 20. Go Scots!
