Ellie Tymorek Claims Cross Country State Championship Title; Boys Finish 4th

Senior Ellie Tymorek won the 2020 FHSAA 2A State Cross Country Meet on Sunday, November 15 in Tallahassee. Ellie has had so many incredible accomplishments in her high school career, but on Sunday she achieved the most important one of them all, the State Title. The Dartmouth commit led from wire to wire. Ellie had some competition through the first two miles until she picked up the pace and dropped the field to win by 25 seconds. Congratulations Ellie!
The boys Cross Country team had their best finish at the State Meet since the 1973 State Title team. The boys finished in 4th place among the State Series strongest field, Class 2A.  Matt Mule lead the Scots with an amazing second place finish. Mule, a University of Florida commit, started his final kick with about 800 meters to go. Passing several elite runners including two other UF commits, Mule made up a lot of ground on the eventual champion but just ran out of real estate. Congratulations Matt.

Ian Noble (23rd) completed a tremendous career with second place finish for the Scots followed by Will Romac (30th), Tristan Moss (58th), Lucas Walsh (65th), Chris Warren (82nd), and Sam Walsh (125th).
