Girls and Boys Golf Prepare for District Tournaments
The varsity girls and boys golf teams have concluded their short regular seasons and will be competing in the Florida High School Athletic Association's state series starting on Monday for the girls and Tuesday for the boys.
The girls finished 4th at the FHSAA State Championships last year and are currently ranked 5th in the state heading into district tournament play on Monday. The Scots will be teeing off at 9:00AM at Boca Country Club in districts and then will travel to Key Biscayne the following Monday, October 19 to compete in the regional tournament.
The boys are looking for the opportunity to improve on their post-season play from last year claiming the district title, but unable to advance past the regional tournament. The Scots will be teeing off at 10:00AM at Winston Trails Golf Club in districts on Tuesday.
The girls team comprised of Amelie Alcantara, Gabriella Albert, Hope Hall, Alana Hall, and Lauren Susick are looking to improve on last year's state championship finish. On the boys side, the team of Justin Ross, Char Russekoff, Rene Nicolas, Mason Tome, and Casey Granata are prepared to defend their district championship title on Tuesday.
