Cross Country Runners Excelling as they Prepare for State Meet

Members of the boys cross country team traveled on their own to Tallahassee, but came together as a team. The boys competed in the FSU Pre-State meet that is held on the same course as the FHSAA State Championships.

The Scots took 5th place in the Elite Race and Senior Matthew Mule led the way for the group. Matt (3rd place overall) ran a school record 15:33.10 on the 5K course that will host the State Championships the second weekend in November. Matt was followed closely by Senior Ian Noble (7th place overall) who tied the old school record of 15:44 by Dan Daly '03. Junior Will Romac finished 28th place in a time of 16:39. Lucas Walsh, Tristan Moss and Chris Warren also ran personal bests.

Senior Ellie Tymorek also ran in Tallahassee in the Pre-State Elite Race. The state 2A favorite placed 3rd in her first race since last November when she finished 2nd in the FHSAA State Finals.

Congratulations to these committed and talented members of our cross country team. Go Scots!
