Madeleine Rubin '20, Ella Weisz '23, and Julian Fente '24 Performed with All-County Band
Three Saint Andrew’s students were chosen through a highly competitive audition process and had the privilege of performing with the best music students in the county. Congratulations to Madeleine Rubin ’20, Ella Weisz ’23, and Julian Fente ’24 for participating in this year's All-County Band.
The All-County Band performances were held at Spanish River High School on Friday, January 24, 2020. The All-County Band is an opportunity for top-tier middle school and high school musicians in Palm Beach County to come together with a specialized conductor and play a night of performances.
“This was an unbelievable educational experience for our students as they had guest conductors including the head conductor for the University of Florida,” said Laurie Riffe, Director of Performing Arts.
Band directors from 27 schools across Palm Beach County helped to coordinate this huge event, which encompassed 3 different band performances and included about 300 students.
SA Director of Instrumental Ensembles Andrea Wolgin, and Lower and Middle School Band Director Tom Stancampiano, were Saint Andrew’s School’s band liaisons and helped to coordinate the event for the school. Director of Percussions Ensembles Brian Baudrit also deserves high praise as two of the students who performed were his percussion students.
This All-County experience has elevated all of Scots involved and allowed them to take their musicianship to the next level.
A non-profit, independent, co-educational school for grades Pre-K - 12, Saint Andrew's School is a private day and boarding school located in Boca Raton, educating the best students from across Palm Beach County, Florida, the United States, and throughout the world in the Episcopal tradition.
