Three SA Performing Arts Students Earned Highly Selective Seats at the All-State Conference

Three Saint Andrew’s students earned highly selective seats and have been invited to perform at the Florida Music Education Association All-State Conference in Tampa, Florida, from January 8-11. Congratulations to Andres Fente ’22, Julian Fente ’24, and Jasminsoye Thomas ’24, along with their Directors Louis Martinez (Guitar Ensemble and Jazz Band) and Pamela Ascroft (Highland Singers).
 
Students from Upper Schools and Middle Schools all over the state participated in this audition process in September.
 
Sophomore Andres Fente will perform with the All-State Guitar Ensemble. Andres is 1 of  29 students selected in the state of Florida. Grade 8 student Julian Fente will perform with the All-State Middle School Jazz Band, for which only one student is selected on bass guitar. 
 
Jasmin will be singing Soprano in the Middle School Mixed Chorus. The All-State Chorus consists of a highly talented group of choral students who are brought together for the purposes of rehearsing and performing selected music with guest conductors. asmin passed all stages of the rigorous All-State audition process with high marks. She was selected out of 182 students who auditioned. 
 
Saint Andrew’s School is very proud of these student performers for their achievements at the state level!
